Then we went on to see an amazing guy, way out yonder, making mobilized maize “shellers”. These incredible devices, made under impoverished conditions from bits of scrap metal, not only strip the corn kernals from the husks but also putter along the rutted dirt tracks to their next assignment at a dangerously constant 25 kph.

MTCEA has been instrumental in both of these projects and really does need help to keep going, hiring motorbikes, fuel, office power and rent, not to mention some sort of payment for the 4 staff presently doing all this for nothing.
The appeal has started, well, it’s started… Thank you so much to Jon, Tim, Jason, Paul, Joe, Jake, Maria and Sue for your amazing donations. There’s still time for others to help out, please pretty please…. Details on the right.
